Identifies and resolves accounting system issues and identifies process improvements. Supports the development and deployment of new accounting systems and tools. Gathers, analyzes, interprets, prepares and reconciles financial information to ensure the integrity of the data and to support the preparation of financial statements. Prepares standard and ad hoc internal and external financial reports for management. Reviews and analyzes relevant contract terms, conditions and accounting source documents to ensure that transactions are correctly classified. Reviews, analyzes and interprets Company directives, policies and regulatory requirements to guide, direct and recommend overall accounting policies and practices. Consults with and advises management, other organizations, customers and auditors regarding accounting policy and classification practices. Establishes, monitors, maintains and reviews internal control systems and documentation for compliance. Works under general direction. JOB SKILLS: Typical Education/Experience: Bachelors and typically 6 or more years related work experience, a Masters degree and typically 4 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
