Computer Technician/Network Engineer

Job Purpose:

Providing network support services to existing clients on Windows based networks.


Duties:

* Serves existing accounts by analyzing computer/network problems; installs/upgrades/troubleshooting of W2003 server, MS Exchange, VPN/WAN setup & configuration, troubleshoot/monitoring tape backup systems

 

* Planning daily travel schedule; conducting diagnostic tests; resolving problems.

* Providing onsite support, phone support and remote support.

* Maintains rapport with customers by examining complaints; identifying solutions; suggesting improved methods and techniques; recommending system improvements.


* Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.

 

* Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

* Documents service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.


* Maintains customer confidence by keeping service information confidential.



* Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications.



 

Skills/Qualifications:

A+ Certification, MSCE/MCP, LAN Knowledge, Network Protocols, DCHP, DNS, Active Directory, Network Hardware Configuration, Network Security, Multi-tasking,  Knowledge of VPN, Anti-Virus/Spyware software, backup software, Outlook, Exchange, SBS OS, Firewalls/Routers, RDP.
