Campus Accounting Supervisor

Under minimal supervision this position is responsible for performing general and specific accounting activities and for monitoring financial conditions for the accounting department.Requirements: Must have a through of knowledge in the accounting as normally obtained through the completion of a undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, business or related field to perform the functions listed above. General knowledge of GAAP.Must have three to five years progressively responsible experience managing accounting policies and procedures.Must have one to two years progressively responsible experience managing staff to effectively monitor and develop subordinates to ensure smooth operations of campus or division.Must have the ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral formats to perform the functions listed above, using standard financial terms.Must have a working knowledge of personal and accounting software packages to supervise and perform accounting activities, administer accounting systems, coordinate month-end closing activities, and collect data to prepare weekly, monthly or quarterly accounting reports as described above.
