Business Operations Lead

 

I. Scope of Position:



The Operations Lead is responsible for managing the day to day operations of the client business process, projects and deliverables.  The OL will be instrumental in implementing controls and techniques for cost reduction, on-time delivery and the overall operation’s efficiency.  Foster and provide leadership, coaching and mentoring for optimal working relationships.  Work closely with team members and management to ensure objectives are delivered as expected.  Plan, schedule and forecast resources as business demands increase

II.   Responsibilities:

 

· Works closely with the business functional areas to assist with defining project priorities, scope, approach, resource requirements and timing of deliverables

· Serve as point of contact and escalation for operational issues from Offshore leads

· Assigns tasks, responsibilities, and scope to project team members.

· Provides overall thought leadership for process improvement, governance, reporting, standards and operations

· Ensure daily output standards for both quality and timeliness are met.

· Coordinate daily prioritization and reconciliation of daily work/proof and control.

· Ensure all deadlines and requirements are being met. Monitor and assist in the resolution of issues.  Identify and documents errors in an effort to reduce risk and exposure.

· Provide training through assisting in the development of team members.

· Assist team members with day to day activities/provide back-up support.

· Coordinates activities of project resources to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget.

· Facilitates projects by running meetings and defining agendas with onshore/offshore teams.

· Prepares project status reports and keeps the team and management informed of project status and related issues/risks.

· Coordinates vendor activities by monitoring and tracking vendor deliverables and commitments where relevant.

 

III. Requirements:

 

· BA Degree in Business or related discipline

· 5+ year’s business operations experience with supervisory/management experience, consulting services industry highly preferred

· Excellent facilitation, communication and inter-personal skills with ability to communicate effectively at all levels

· Experience with recognized project management tools including MS Project preferred

· Demonstrated ability to perform in demanding multi-tasking environment.

· Ability to manage independently in a dynamic environment with rapid development cycles, multifunctional teams and tight project timeframes

· Excellent analytical skills, including ability to plan and organize

· Ability to be creative, flexible and responsive to organizational need

· Travel required
