Scope
The Business Development Associate (BDA) will support a team of Business Development Executives (BDEs) in identifying, contacting and generating interest for Palladium¡¦s solutions amongst individuals from both target and non-target accounts. The BDA will receive training and mentoring from the Business Development, Account Development and Marketing teams. In addition, the BDA will increasingly interact on his / her own with target accounts via conference calls, seminars and events, demonstration sessions and meetings.
Responsibilities Support Palladium's Business Development efforts in a broad range of pre-sales and sales duties including: Information gathering Telephone prospecting Competitive solution positioning New account development/penetration Work with BDEs on profiling, setting sales meetings and transitioning leads within their target accounts Work with the Marketing team on campaigns and activities to generate responses from and create awareness amongst prospective clients Capture, verify and append contact data within Palladium¡¦s customer relationship management database Learn and be able to propose value-added Palladium strategies and solutions based on customers needs and requirements Establish and retain strong customer/supplier relationships Establish and retain strong internal Palladium relationships Required Skills
Key Competencies Lead Generation: Survey market and target accounts; open doors to start conversations on Palladium solutions and services Campaign Management: Assist Marketing team on building awareness of Palladium solutions and services on specific campaigns on tasks such as direct telemarketing and coordination of events. Ability to Learn and Build Knowledge Capital: Can quickly gain knowledge and apply to prospecting and qualifying opportunities Relationship Building: Uses influence skills to gain entry into organizations and key individuals and maintains team attitude to delivering on quota to support BDM targeted plans and vertical practice
Qualifications Bachelor degree in business, technical field, marketing or equivalent experience 3-5 years of Sales Support/Customer Service with account development experience required Experience working in technology-oriented organization, preferably with Corporate Performance Management products in a professional/consulting services environment Understanding of the full sales cycle and the solution-selling business model Extremely self-motivated individual who shows willingness to expand command of Palladium's offerings, do cold calls, research, open doors, etc. to build new opportunity base Demonstrated track record in cold calling from the technical to executive level with proven ability to grow and expand a customer base Must be a creative individual capable of assessing sales/market opportunities with exceptional influence skills Solid communication skills including follow-up, presentation, and negotiation skills Strong interpersonal skills in building relationships and effectively dealing with internal and external people.
