Prototyping is often used to help define or clarify requirements. Works with the DBA to design and develop database structures needed to support the applications. Conducts unit testing of developed products. Project/Objectives: Contract to Hire - addition to and/or supplement existing IT staff by fulfilling the programmer position using their existing knowledge and skills to augment the customers IT development department. Technical Qualifications: Qualified candidates must have knowledge of both client server and web-based development practices. Knowledge of the ASP.Net platform (using c# and/or VB.Net) and VBA is required. Database development experience using Oracle or SQL Server preferred. Minimum Experience: Two to four years of full-time programming experience on either web-based or client/server software applications. Can demonstrate all of the following: -Knowledge of Microsoft Office Professional Suite -Knowledge of relational database management systems -Knowledge of object oriented design and programming -Knowledge of MS Access, SQL constructs, and Visual Basic programming language. -Knowledge of Oracle stored procedures and their effective use -Knowledge of current web development methods and tools such as ASP.NET, VB.NET, ASP, Active X, Java, Java Script, etc. -Ability to understand technical manuals. -Ability to work independently with defined requirements -Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing Education: Bachelors Degree with concentration in computer science or other relevant area from an accredited four-year college or university or completion of a program in computer programming from an accredited business or vocational school may be accepted in lieu of a four-year degree.
