Administrative Manager

The Chicago-Van Buren Administrative Manager will be an autonomous worker with substantial administrative management experience and a desire to supervise a strong administrative team. He/she will need to multi-task, have superior organizational skills, and communicate with executives and vendors on a regular basis. Specific responsibilities will include: • Supervising Huron's Chicago administrative team of upwards of 20 executive assistants and the receptionist • Serving as Coach/Mentor for executive assistants and the receptionist by developing, implementing, and monitoring performance plans with a focus on professional and personal growth in line with Huron's goals • Understanding the unique roles of each EA within Huron and helping each realize their full potential through goal setting which is appropriate for their position and experience level • Learning and managing expectations of Huron executives in relation to their assistants' responsibilities • Communicating with practice teams to monitor efficiencies and manage workloads • Coordinating Administrative, Human Resources, and Recruiting needs to ensure top-quality performance • Interviewing, hiring, and training new executive assistants and temporary employees as needed • Participating in compensation meetings to determine administrative salaries and annual bonuses based on the external market and Huron's compensation plans • Continuing to cultivate a team-based environment for the EAs to exchange ideas and support their peers • Determining EA support for Chicago based executives, balancing workloads, planning for growth in the staff and making recommendations for additions to the staff • 2+ years of management and coaching experience • 5+ years of Executive Assistant experience, supporting several executives involving high-level prioritizing and multi-tasking • College degree preferred • Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal • Good technical skills - Word, Excel, and PowerPoint • Excellent organizational skills • Experience in a consulting industry is preferred, or in a similar environment • Flexibility for possible overtime hours Please apply through our website at www.huronconsultinggroup.com/careers.
