Workers' Comp Paralegal/Administrator

We are a growing law firm with several location focusing on workers' compensation and personal injury.  We are currently looking for a paralegal for our Cleveland area office.

Knowledge or experience with handling workers' compensation claims is required.

Must be able to work independently and know when issues should be discussed with the attorneys.

Duties:

* Handle assigned client files from beginning to end. Including processing C84s, C92s, C240s, and C86s; gathering and setting the AWW and FWW; following up on client treatment.

* Speaking with clients frequently to answer questions and give them information.

* Using our computer database to input information about assigned claims.

* Using the Ohio BWC website to gather information about assigned claims.

* Preparing and gathering necessary documents for hearings.

* Speaking with doctors' offices to gather the required forms.

* Reviewing medical records to determine if there are additional conditions to request for additional allowance.

Skills/Qualifications:

Telephone Skills, Verbal Communication, Microsoft Office and/or WordPerfect Skills, Professionalism, Organization, Good Attendance, Time Management. Workers' compensation knowledge required. Amicus Attorney experience helpful, but not required.
