Prestigious Independent Research and Data Services Organization seeks Vice President of Sales with Institutional - Hedge Fund/Mutual Funds Experience.

Responsibilities:Systematically call on securities firms, money managers, hedge funds, and other equity market participantsAct as relationship manager to new and existing customers to ensure that client expectations are met and exceeded, and provide on-going support to ensure customer satisfactionProactively pursue sales leads and identify or pursue new client relationships; prepare and deliver effective sales presentations to prospective customersDevelop and maintain a current list of prospects and develop sales plans for targeted companiesMaintain presentations, proposals and general sales records regarding ongoing sales activitiesGather market intelligence and contribute to pricing, packaging, and new opportunities for product development in order to meet changing client needsManage the full sales life cycle encompassing identification, face-to-face presentation to key decision-makers, responses to requests for proposals, contract negotiations, successful close and client supportProvide reports to the Sales Manager and participate in ongoing training and developmental programs

Qualifications:5+ years experience, 3+ years sales preferably in the financial services sectorIntimate knowledge of and experience in selling data, software, or research products into the financial services industry, preferably by virtue of a subscription-based modelUnderstanding of financial markets, institutional broker-dealers, and investment banks, knowledge of investment research products and services a plusDemonstrated success in the full sales life cycle encompassing prospecting, cold calling, qualifying prospective customers, assessing client needs, utilizing strong closing techniques, and maintaining relationshipsAbility to initiate the sales process through a succinct and targeted phone presentation plus strong communication skills for one-on-one and large group presentationsStrong business development experience with the ability to sell in to (and represent the Firm) at all levels within an organizationProven ability to maintain a high level of activity to reach an aggressive set of sales goals and objectivesProficiency in synthesizing feedback from prospects and clients and communicating back to the Firm with input for continuous product improvementExceptional ability to proactively identify client needs and provide sound solutionsBachelor's Degree, preferably in finance, economics, or marketing; MBA a plus (4072B~)Attractive compensation package.
