Trust & Estates Paralegal
# 524- Trust and Estates Paralegal- Prestigious client in Nassau County seeks a Trust & Estates Paralegal with a minimum 3 years experience in all phases of estate administration. Good interpersonal skills and computer proficiency a must, knowledge of Zane tax software helpful.
Duties include:Preparation, service and filing of court papers for probate or administration proceedings, appointments or resignations of fiduciaries, disclaimers, and inventory, and claims against estatesPreparation of Federal and New York estate and gift tax returns;Preparation of beneficiary designation forms and transfer of assets from qualified retirement plans, IRAs and all types of individual account ownership forms. Performance of all aspects of insurance trust administration from transfer of policies to trusts, preparation of "crummy" notices, and management of trust bank accounts for payment of premiums; and preparation and review of accountings and receipts and releases. Experienced in legal research.Knowledge of Medicaid, and how to prepare a Medicaid application is a plus, but not required.Able to draft wills, trusts, powers of attorney, health care documents is a plus, but not required.
