Trademark Paralegal - Small size law firm

Location: New York, NY 10001Your location:home   »  find a job   »  advanced search   »  job description Apply Online Send this Job to a Friend My client, a mid-size law firm with offices in NY and NJ, is seeking a Trademark Paralegal for its New York office. Responsibilities include but not limited to:·  Prepare trademark reports and spreadsheets for clients·  Research current use of trademarks·  Obtain and revise commercial searches·  Prepare and file U.S. trademark applications, Statements of Use, Extensions of Time to Oppose, Oppositions, Renewals, Section 8 & 15 Affidavits, Assignments and  related documents with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, preferably online; ·  Correspond with foreign counsel with respect to local trademark matters; ·  Conduct trademark clearance searches online and PTO website·  Manage and maintain the trademark docketing system·  Create and maintain trademark and other files; ·  Review trademark watch reports for potential infringers and coordinate with private  investigators; ·  Perform trademark due diligence for corporate transactions.   Abilities and Skills needed:  ·Minimum of three years of trademark experience under the supervision of a trademark attorney in either a law firm or in-house setting managing trademark portfolio· Bachelor’s degree· Proficiency on Microsoft Word Excellent written and oral communication skills Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and track extensive  detail Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with personnel  Ability to work under stress Flexibility with overtime Willingness to work with and assist other practice groups and staff members in accomplishing work assignments Pleasant and cooperative attitude Ability to handle confidential information sensitively and discreetlyReporting responsibility to Intellectual Property Group/Director of Administration Salary:  Commensurate upon experience, standard health and welfare benefits and 401k plans. Interested and qualified candidates only, please forward resumes to john.mclaughlin@hudson.com .   About Hudson Hudson delivers specialized professional recruitment, contract staffing, outsourced and project solutions worldwide.
