Currently we are looking for a full time Senior J2EE/SQL Developer to work in our coporate office located in Wilmington, Delaware.

Description Summary:

We are looking for talented individuals to join our development team working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment which encourages collaboration, participation and creative thinking. The ideal candidate will design, develop and support enterprise web applications and have extensive experience in Java-based applications. The candidate will be responsible for participating in the construction of all layers of a J2EE-based solution with a stronger focus on user interface development and user experience.
CSC is currently developing in the J2EE framework (JSP, Servlets, JMS, JNDI, JDBC), applying Web Services Standards (SOAP, XML, WSDL) and is developing on the Spring and Hibernate frameworks.
Candidates must have 6+ yrs proven work experience in software application development in a corporate, transaction based systems environment. Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to work as part of a team, and thrives on technical challenges are required characteristics.
Major Job Functions:
Design, develop, test and deploy CSC's enterprise class applications.
Function as a senior developer on software development efforts and mentor junior to mid-level developers
Create high-quality, enterprise-class software which exceeds the needs of users and product owners
Implement world class Web 2.0-based user interfaces utilizing applicable technologies including AJAX, JSP, CSS, D/HTML, etc.
Provide expertise in implementing Web 2.0 design patterns and interaction paradigms.
Create work effort estimates that will be used as the primary input to project schedule work breakdowns
Investigate technologies and recommend technical direction
Analyze and troubleshoot existing program code and correct errors as required
Adhere to corporate Change Control and release management processes
Communicate status and issues to Project managers
Responsible for delivering systems that meet requirements within project schedule
Perform other duties as requested and assigned.

Qualifications / Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
Minimum of three to five years experience developing applications in a Java, J2EE (JSP, Servlets, JNDI, EJBs, JMS), Struts/Spring and Oracle database environment.
Required experience with user interface technologies (JSP, AJAX, D/HTML, JSTL, etc).
Experience with Scrum (or another agile methodology) is highly preferred.

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical management and line staff.
Experience working in a corporate, transaction based systems environment in either the financial; telecommunications or retail industry preferred. Experience in Domain Name Systems / Domain Registry is a plus.
Exposure to source code management tools like CVS, SVN preferred.
Experience with connectivity to large enterprise scale Oracle 9i/10g database systems using JDBC
Excellent technical communication skills and the ability to work in an extremely collaborative environment
Knowledge of PL/SQL and SQL


Education / Training / Experience:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field
At least four years systems and/or applications programming experience.
At least 2 years of experience in web application development experience using Java and J2EE technologies like JSP, Servlets, EJB, Javascript, etc
Proficient in Service Oriented Architecture, Web Service development and XML technologies like XSD, XSL, XPATH

Experience using standard development frameworks such as: Hibernate, Spring, Axis2, Struts
Strong knowledge of SQL and database concepts, preferably with Oracle 10g
