Regional Project Manager
Regional Project ManagerDescription: Volt Services Group, a national leader in the staffing industry, is currently looking for Regional Project Manager in the downtown Boston area. This is an opportunity to join one of our premiere legal clients. We are recruiting energetic, self-motivated, candidates that posses a desire to succeed. Under the direct supervision of the Manager of Litigation Support Services, the LSS Regional Project Manager will work directly with our client's litigation legal teams to provide support and technical assistance on new and existing litigation technology. The Project Manager is responsible for completing project assignments as requested and prioritized by the Manager of LSS including support, training, researching, documenting, and testing. This position acts as the liaison between IS departments to provide technical support on LSS systems; works directly with legal teams in use of trial software applications; sets-up logistics and helps IS teams to support trial sites and courtroom; advises legal teams and LSS on emerging technologies, electronic discovery issues, and ED review tools. Regular travel to NY and other of our client's regional offices and client sites to support LSS systems may be required. Responsibilities: Manage multiple active cases and provide litigation support to legal teams throughout our Regional offices and New York. Advise legal teams on Electronic Discovery issues such as collection techniques, forensics, vendor services, review tools, and data processing. Assist to create Electronic Discovery best practices guidelines. Participate in E-discovery vendor reviews, services and review tools and make recommendations for “preferred” vendor status. Recertify current E-discovery vendors. Recommend E-discovery vendors to legal teams and our clients on specific matters, provide price estimates, and evaluate and interact with the vendor over the life of the matter. Work with legal teams to setup electronic data review projects. Create training materials and conduct training sessions on E-discovery projects for case teams, clients, and co-counsel, including LSS supported applications. Coordinate trial site technology setup and provide IS and LSS support resources. Research and advise LSS and IS team members on emerging litigation technology. Provide administrative and technical support for LSS supported applications including: JFS Litigator’s Notebook databases, IPRO, Record File, Trial Director, Approach, and LiveNote. Work with LSS team members and legal teams to gather feedback on existing technology, and potential enhancement and new technology needs. Work with users, developers and project managers on testing and rolling out new applications and upgrades. Work on various projects as assigned by the Manager of LSS and or LSS Supervisor. Requirements: Experience: Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Litigation Support Project Manager experience (3+ years). Self-motivated person with excellent time management skills. Ability to adhere to project goals and deadlines. Person should be a team player who communicates and cooperates with all members of the project team and LSS Manager. Knowledge of standard firm applications and specific experience with LSS supported software applications. Familiarity with Microsoft environment in addition to experience working with MS Office and Lotus Notes applications. Person should have a positive attitude and have the ability to work well with attorneys, vendors, and IS personnel. Strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate results. In-depth technical skills and familiarity with law firm automation systems, specifically in the litigation practice areas.
