TITLE: Records Information ManagerREPORTS TO: Associate General Counsel IIDEPARTMENT: LegalJob Summary: The Records Information Manager is responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of a central repository records management/retention program which is compliant with HF and regulatory procedures and processes for document retention and disposal.Description:Work collaboratively with department heads to assess and audit current document conversion needsWork collaboratively with Performance Improvement and IS to draft and implement best in class document conversion and security plans for project implementationWork collaboratively with Performance Improvement and IS to draft and implement best in class document conversion and security plans for project implementationAct as point person for best practices on conversion, implementation and records retrieval.Work collaboratively with legal and compliance departments to identify regulations and draft policies and procedures that would govern the retention, security, storage and disposal of documents and keep stakeholders abreast of changes in regulatory environment.Organize, scan to file, build ERM repository of existing records Keep department heads informed of timing and progressGenerate and maintain reports of any changes in retention and update stakeholdersTrain stakeholders on policies, procedures, storage, retrieval and disposal Requirements:Must have at least 5 years experience, document scanning, storage and retrieval in a large corporate environment.Ability to manage large scale, cross functional projects Good project management and cross functional experience Must have good oral and written communication skills as well as good interpersonal skillsExcellent organizational skillsMust have solid experience with imaging hardware and software, electronic records and conversion proceduresSome experience in the health care industry desirable but not mandatoryEducation: Bachelors degree required. Bachelors in Library Science or Information Systems a plusCertified document imaging Architect (CDIA) certification is a plus
