Programmer/Analyst
This position is responsible for developing ASP.NET Web-enabled applications using Visual Studio.NET 2008 tools. This individual will design, develop, implement and maintain new strategies for facilitating data migration between a UNIX multi-value database .NET interface and MS Windows platforms. The individual will create Web-enabled client interfaces, reporting tools and other system enhancements that improve our internal processes and infrastructure.
Responsibilities
· Develop secure Web-enabled client interfaces allowing clients to access their information on our system.
· Develop custom Web-enabled applications to enhance data flow/accuracy, generate reports and facilitate end-user access to our system.
· Leverage the mv.NET interface between our UNIX multi-value database and Web and Windows based applications.
· Apply advanced data mining techniques within MS applications.
· Designing and developing .NET applications.
· Develop client interfaces including masking and custom programming to exchange data within flat files from/to clients.
· Develop custom programming to customize open source mainframe application.
· Conduct functional/system testing and documentation for all custom software components.
·Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
· A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, and at least three years related professional experience.
· Expert knowledge of computer programming concepts including the fundamental understanding of procedural and object-oriented programming languages.
· Proficiency in ASP.NET Web development and Visual Studio.NET tools and programming techniques.
· Expert Knowledge in Visual C++/C#, SQL, JavaScript, ASP.NET AJAX, VBScripts, XML, XHTML and CSS.
· Expert knowledge of web encryption and security techniques to minimize the risk of intrusion.
· Working Knowledge of UNIX Operating System, jBASE multi-value database and jBC (a superset of Dartmouth Basic).
·Working Knowledge of UNIX shell scripting and administration, MS Batch scripting and FTP scripting.
· Experience developing, maintain and documenting financial applications.
