Payroll Specialist/Coordinator

National, multi-state professional services firm seeks a highly skilled Payroll Specialist/Coordinator with 5+ years experience in a fast-paced ever-changing work environment.  Responsible for the preparation and disbursement of semi-monthly payroll using ADP/PC Payroll.  The Payroll Specialist/Coordinator will also assist with the administration of the firm's 401(k) plan, health insurance plans, and other benefit plans.

 

Primary Duties

·         Track and report time and attendance

·         Reviews computed wages and corrects errors to ensure the accuracy of earnings

·         Update and maintain accurate data and records in the Payroll system

·         401(k) annual financial and actuarial information reporting

·         Review and audit master file and pay data entries

·         Respond to unemployment insurance claims, employment inquiries

·         Prepare payroll, account and management reports as requested

·         Preforms other duties and special projects as requested by management

 

Qualifications

·         Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting or related field highly preferred

·         5-8+ years experience in a public accounting, law firm, or professional services environment

·         Intermediate to advanced level of experience with ADP and ReportSmith

·         Exceptional computer skills (MS Office, Excel and proprietary applications)

·         Flexible, energetic, ability to demonstrate good common sense and sound judgment
