Patent Foreign Filing Specialist - Washington DC

The Mergis Group, a division of Spherion is in search of an   Foreign Filing Specialist for a well known law firm.  The position is for a growing Intellectual Property practice within a DC law firm. New office, great benefits.   Need at least 3+ years in all asspects of PCT and national stage filings.   Patent Foreign Filing Specialist will manage the foreign prosecution activities of a growing practice group. As the Foreign Filing Specialist for the IP Department, you will ·  prepare documents to meet formalities requirements and legalizing documents through the appropriate state authorities, consulates and/or embassies;·  prepares and files PCT applications, transmittals, Demands for Preliminary ·  Examination and responding to Invitations to Correct Defects on other PCT and foreign associate communications; ·  prepares and forwards instructions to foreign associates and foreign patent offices for foreign patent cases, including PCT, national phase and direct non-U.S. filing; ·  and prepares foreign filing estimates for clients using Global IP Estimator software.· The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, and a minimum of five years of experience in foreign filing patent prosecution.  Please send resume in word format to:  Legal Practice Director: Katherinestandley@mergisgroup.com  The Mergis Group specializes in matching the skills sets and career goals of legal professionals to the needs of law firm and in house legal departments.
