Mid Level Litigation Paralegal for DC Law Firm

The Mergis Group, a division of Spherion is in search of a Sr. Litigation Paralegal for a downtown DC law firm.  Candidate must have at least four years experience as litigation paralegal with a career track record as a lead paralegal on large complex litigation cases. Ideal candidate will have experience with managing jr. paralegals.   Duties include:   Draft, review, and or analyze routine legal documents as requested by attorneys Coordinates, supervise and train junior paralegals/temporary staff on cases and projects(s) and delegate tasks as necessary. Coordinate other support staff as needed on large litigation matters and/or investigations in all phases of the litigation from discovery through trial/arbitration. Liaise between case team attorneys and support staff/temporary staff as needed to ensure that case-specific paralegal services are meeting the team’s expectations. Compile, maintain, and present information regarding discovery logistics, case schedules, and pertinent issues. Interact with outside entities including courts, government agencies, expert witnesses, corporations, vendors and other law firms.  Looking for at least 4 years experience as a litigation paralegal preferably in an Am Law 100 firm or specialized litigation practice firm.  Working knowledge of Ringtail (or other online document review/repository system), Concordance, LiveNote, and/or other litigation support software preferred; proficient with Microsoft Office software products. Overtime and occasional travel may be necessary.    If you are career litigation paralegal looking to make a change this is a great law firm.      Please send resume in word format to:  Legal Practice Director: Katherinestandley@mergisgroup.com  The Mergis Group specializes in matching the skills sets and career goals of legal professionals to the needs of law firm and in house legal departments.
