Manager of Corporate Staffing and Development MUST HAVE WORKED IN LARGE LAWFIRM TO BE CONSISERED Category: Corporate Department: Legal Services Locations: Boston, MA Job Description:The Manager of Corporate Staffing and Development will manage and coordinate Department assignments, and staffing, primarily for junior associates, as well as manage professional development, and administrative functions for the Department, working with and supporting the Department Heads, the Corporate Training Committee and the Director of Legal Services. The Manager of Corporate Staffing and Development will also be a contributing member of the legal support team and will assist other Managers and Support Attorneys with expanding, enriching and maintaining practice resources and knowledge management; and contributing to the training and development of corporate support staff and attorneys. The assignment of work to junior associates and other timekeepers, and monitor assignments across all offices.Expose lawyers to assignments with all members of the Department or appropriate Practice Groups,as well as all aspects of the practice. Work with the Department Heads to maintain the integration of professional development goals into the assignments process. Work with Department Heads to integrate Practice Group planning into assignments process.Help the Department to maintain an appropriate and even level of pro bono work.Work closely with associates and Department Heads to maintain productivity numbers and achieve individual goals relating to productivity and development within specific areas of interest.Work with Department Heads, partners, Director of Legal Services and Director of Attorney Development to plan and conduct formal training program for Department's lawyers, and administer benchmark and mentoring programs.
