Litigation Docketing Coordinator
Litigation Docketing Coordinator/Clerk
Job responsibilities would include the following: maintaining Boston Office's litigation docketing system; data entry of all litigation documents served, filed or received ; calculating all rule-based deadlines; keeping attorneys informed of rules changes in state and federal courts; creating diary entries for all rule-based deadlines as well as for all court/attorney scheduled calendar events; preparing and circulating weekly attorney ticklers/reminders of upcoming due dates and calendar events-based litigation deadlines and provide daily and weekly calendar reports for attorneys; assisting with preparation of all necessary forms for the commencement of actions in both state and federal court by conventional and electronic filing methods; preparing and editing affidavits of service; responsible for service of process (summonses and complaints, subpoenas, etc.); assisting with e-room case management, and implementing and coordinating best practices in coordination with Managing Attorney's Office in New York;
Minimum 3 years experience in managing litigation pleadings (or the equivalent) in law firm. Must have extensive knowledge of Massachusetts State and federal rules of practice, and working knowledge of online legal applications including: Pacer, Court link, CM/ECF, CourtAlert, LexisNexis and Westlaw.
