Legal Operations Discovery Specialist

Description:
International Investment Bank seeks a Legal Operations Discovery Specialist to support the legal department in responding to discovery requests in litigation and regulatory matters and address new legal requirements concerning electronic discovery (eDiscovery).

Responsibilities:Assist with implementation of processes and procedures to reflect new operating modelPromote defined standards for general discovery support, vendor management, and data mapping exerciseCreate and maintain Legal Operations eDiscovery processes and proceduresCapture quality and management metrics and produce MIS reports for senior managementSupport in-house and external counsel in responding to discovery and regulatory requests and assist with execution of the general discovery support tasksIdentify relevant data sources (hard copy and electronic) and data custodiansSupport the development, implementation and maintenance of governance framework for discovery and litigation readinessOversee management of eDiscovery and legal support service vendorsCoordinate with Legal IT for all technology installations and ongoing maintenance of such applicationsAssist with the maintenance and archival of case files and entry into case matter management system

Skills for Success:Knowledge of the legal industry and eDiscovery requirements, including 2+ years of practical experiencePrior IT experience preferredExposure to project management methodologies and techniquesStrong oral and written communication skillsTechnology savvy - interest in exploring existing technology solutions and the possibility to tailor applications for specific needs in a cost efficient manner (4087B~)
