Our law firm is hiring a legal assistant to collect consumer debt and negotiate payment with debtors on the phone and via e mail and letters. We provide education and training. Our policy is to collect debt in a polite, professional, persistent and polite manner.
We offer a clean, organized, ergonomic and pleasant office environment. Our firm has 20 employees and is located in Beverly Hills, Michigan.
Expectations: pleasant and courteous personality with the ability to negotiate payment of debt and close a deal. A team player that realizes success for the firm is their success.
Skills: basic math, good grammar and spelling, good keyboard skills, computer proficient, polite, thorough, and deadline oriented. Experience in debt collection is preferred. We will train you in our unique legal collection practices that differ from traditional collection agencies. Legal experience is not required, but may be helpful
Hours: M – F 9 -5, plus one evening a week and one Saturday morning every other week.
Starting pay: $12 - $14 per hour (based on experience), plus overtime, monthly and annual bonuses, and perks. Medical and retirement benefits, dental and optical allowance, season tickets to local sporting and entertainement events.
Duties:
* Call debtors and negotiate payment of delinquent debt.
* Support legal action by updating and analyzing information.
* Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential.
* Avoid legal challenges by complying with legal requirements.
* Ongoing education and training in the field of collection law.
