IT Help Desk

Objective

The IT Help Desk employee is responsible for providing courteous and professional Help Desk Support to the end users via on-site, telephone or remote access on a variety of technical issues/problems. Must be able to work in a high volume and fast paced environment efficiently.

Essential FunctionsProvide Help Desk Support services to the end users via on-site, telephone or remote access on a variety of technical issues/problems for high level of hardware.  Hardware consists of PC’s laptops, printers, scanners, cell phones and all other peripheral hardware. Must be able to troubleshoot issues for PC and laptop hardware, local and network printers, remote login and VPN, Windows XP/Vista operating system (Server 03/08) and MS Office issues.  Support includes new setups, moves, additions, and changes.Must be able to work with high levels of hardwareResponsible to test, evaluate, and document end-user procedures and guidelines.  Must also test, evaluate and document software or macros which are being upgraded or improved for use by the firmAbility to complete designated workload each day, including assigned ticketsMust be willing to work on call.Performs other duties as assigned. 

QualificationsBachelor’s degree preferred in Information Technology or related field. Experience in hardware and software support with strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills. Minimum of 3+ plus years of prior Help Desk work experience. A+ Technical Certification preferred.Proficient with Microsoft Windows XP/Vista, Outlook, MS-Office family. Experience with PCs and Network Copier and Printers. Experience in writing procedural documentationExperience creating and deploying system images using replication software and remote desktop toolsStrong interpersonal and communication skills for work in a collaborative team environment. Ability to multitask and operate with minimal supervision adjusting priorities accordingly. Able to maintain professional demeanor under stress. Responsive problem solver (resourceful) and action oriented. Ability to keep current with IT trends.  Salary commensurate with experience.  Full benefit package. EOE.
