IP Docketing Specialist

The Washington DC office of a National law firm is seeking an experienced Docketing Specialist to provide docketing and other patent prosecution services for the Intellectual Property practice.  Responsibilities will include docketing primarily for US and foreign patent cases and for some Trademark cases; preparation and clearance of daily docket reports; creation of specialized reports; association of official mail with files; and assistance with generation of client reporting letters. 

Requirements:

Qualified candidates will have 2 - 5 years of experience with IP docketing and docket report development and generation.  Knowledge of IP Master is preferred.  Thorough knowledge of US and foreign docketing procedures and PTO rules is required; and knowledge of MS Word, Outlook and Excel is required.  Bachelor’s degree preferred.

 

Successful candidates will possess excellent communications skills, flexibility, and the ability to adapt to meet the requirements of a multi-faceted job in a deadline oriented practice.
