HR Coordinator
International firm in Downtown LA seeks a high-energy, well-organized individual who is client service driven to join team. Under the general direction of the Chief Associate Career Management Officer and members of the Associate Career Management team, the Associate Career Management Coordinator will provide overall administrative and logistical support to firm’s U.S. offices, primarily on the West Coast. Responsibilities: Build and maintain successful working relationships with partners, associates, department administrators and staff to support the Associate Career Management program.
Collaborate with other firm departments such as Human Resources, Recruiting, Accounting, Client Budgeting, Marketing and Professional Development.
Coordinate the bi-annual associate evaluation processes. Involves, but is not limited to, the following: schedule and conduct feedback interviews with partners, track completed associate evaluations and meetings, compile final evaluation ratings, participate in Evaluation Committee meetings, learn and train others on evaluation software (ViDesktop suite).
Support the Supervising Partner program. Assist in the development and maintenance of program materials, develop and improve existing processes related to the program.
Assist with the associate orientation and integration programs for new associate and lateral arrivals.
Assist with program budget and monthly reports.
Schedule meetings, draft summary progress updates, follow up as needed.
Read and track articles, websites and other sources regarding trends, developments and best practices related to career development for law firm associates.
Occasional travel required.
Requirements Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and 2-3 years administrative experience. Law firm experience is preferred.
Prior exposure to competency models and evaluation processes. Demonstrated experience with viDesktop is a plus.
Strong proficiency using databases, on-line search functions, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access). Strong organizational, written, communication, administrative skills and ability to maintain high level of confidentiality. Ability to prioritize multiple assignments in deadline driven environment, use initiative and judgment to accomplish results and manage resources effectively.
