Director -- Foreclosure Prevention & Education Program

The Ridgewood Bushwick Senior Citizens Council seeks to hire a Director for the organization’s Foreclosure Prevention and Education Program. The homeowners in the community of Bushwick, as well as in many of the surrounding neighborhoods, have been facing an increasing number of mortgage delinquencies and foreclosures, many the result of sub-prime loans and predatory lending practices. The Director will oversee as well as engage in outreach and community education, counseling, consultation of homebuyers in conjunction of various city agencies, and, on occasion, litigation to prevent foreclosures. Additional Qualifications: Mortgage industry knowledge or counseling experience required.Admission to practice law in New York State recommended, but not required.
