The company provides customers access to 5 billion searchable documents from more than 35,000 legal, news and business sources.Responsibilities Research industry information and data sources; map/analyze/cleanse data; identify and apply appropriate statistical analysis to determine and make valid decisions concerning the amount of variance in the content; identify and develop requirements for data products; partner with information technology to create, enhance, and maintain our data products; initiate, coordinate, build, validate, track and coordinate the continuous, uninterrupted and quality flow of data from our databases to our customers; collaborate/communicate with internal customers to discuss data findings: develop, test, and implement optimal data solutions for customersQualifications 1. Bachelor's degree in business, MIS, computer science or related discipline; or equivalent related work experience. 2. Data and statistical analysis experience. 3. Creativity, innovation and problem solving skills; ability to determine the impacts of data differentials and anomalies and draw valid conclusions based on applying sound logic and analysis to data sets. 4. Critical thinking, judgment and decision making skills. 5. Research and information seeking skills including asking relevant questions to arrive at valid conclusions. 6. Knowledge of various file formats (data formats: ASCII Delimited Text, Comma Separated Format, Excel, Access, HTML, XML); knowledge of file structures and different types of files; possess knowledge and understanding of various source data sets and layouts. 7. Knowledge of and experience with database structures, exporting data, data processes/flow; and creating databases, tables and queries with Access and using data analysis tools (i.e. pivot tables/etc.) with Excel 8. Prior data quality or quality assurance experience. 9. Possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple assignments, 10. Self directed with the ability to prioritize projects and workflow, while maintaining knowledge of a project?s life cycle Preferred Qualifications 1. Knowledge of financial, risk management, information analytics or related code, data, and products is preferred 2. Knowledge of public record data. 3. Knowledge and understanding of SQL 4. Knowledge and understanding of ETL tools such as Data Junction or related technologies. 5. Programming knowledge and prior coding experience involving ability to read and write pseudo code instructions on data transformation is required (for REAL ESTATE); (NON REAL ESTATE- programming knowledge and coding experience) 6. Knowledge of data flow and the data fabrication process preferred 7. Experience with SQL Server Integration Services. 8. Strong relationship development, team collaboration and communication skills (verbal and non-verbal) effectively collaborate with, and articulate technical information to, both technical and non-technical audiences, and to customers.Accountabilities: 1. Import, review, analyze, and validate public records data; map data; create fields/tables and statistical reports; analyze data/tables/files and process data; and convert data to a meaningful file output for clients. 2. Write queries and create pivot tables and compare data sets to locate patterns; export data (i.e. Excel, SQL, text files, internet.) to databases. 3. Recommend and negotiate code solutions to information technology; enhance or manipulate basic data code as needed. 4. Utilize ETL tools such as Data Junction or related technologies for data extraction and transformation 5. Analyze data for anomalies; identify and apply appropriate statistical analysis to determine impacts; and make valid decisions concerning the amount of variance in the content, data differentials and anomalies. 6. Analyze, investigate, negotiate and resolve problems to ensure product integrity. 7. Ensure proper data layout and accuracy per department standards. 8. Review contracts for data restrictions, understand any restrictions, and forward the contract to the legal department for their review to ensure compliance with applicable laws, procedures and regulations affecting data layout, collection, validation, and related processes (not applicable for BANKRUPTCY ANALYST). 9. Research, query database, extract data, ensure rule/code/and parsing accuracy, and ask appropriate questions to validate data, contact data source providers and collaborate with information technology, data content staff and vendors to resolve data issues a content. 10. Troubleshoot basic to moderate complexity product issues and recommend innovative data solutions. 11. Audit data sources to ensure data integrity; communicate results and recommended changes/improvements to appropriate parties. 12. Recommend resolutions related to data and product features to appropriate parties; 13. Build and maintain relationships and collaborate effectively with customers 14. Acquire, enhance and apply knowledge of data products and tools. 15. Develop an understanding of the customers? business, data flow, and data requirements; write requirements for information technology to develop new products for customers; quality review/test data products to ensure requirements are met. 16. Understand and write pseudo code instructions on data transformation (for REAL ESTATE) 17. Document procedures and report findings and trends to appropriate parties 18. Other duties as assigned 19.
