Contract Manager with software licensing a plus! .
The Mergis Group is strong contracts manager for a long term contract assignment for our client located in Reston, VA. Must have at least five years of Contract Management experience in the commercial arena, some government a plus. First consideration given to candidate with experience negotiating technology contracts and software licensing agreements. This is not a contract position that should last for months and could go permanent for the right candidate. Legal background a plus working along side the General Counsel. At least 5 years necessary. Must be available immediately for a 'contract assignment.' Need is immediate.40 hour work week with a great hourly rate to work on site with GC. Location is Herndon Reston Area. (Not metro accessible) Must have: Minimum of 5 years solid experience in contracts and technology related transactions. Expertise in drafting and negotiating various transaction matters with significant background in technology licensing agreements. Ability to independently handle negotiations, recommend creative solutions, and work directly with client and vendor attorneys and company sales/business development representatives. Handle complex multi level state and local government contracts including review and analysis of RFP’s. Prepare legal memos, advise on risks and appropriate exceptions to bid provisions. Negotiate and draft prime, subcontract, teaming agreements, independent contractor agreements, SOW’s, amendments and change orders. Specific knowledge of intellectual property issues and privacy laws. Handle confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements. Experience in handling claims and litigation matters including evaluation of liability and risk, resolution of contract dispute issues and technology licensing matters with ability to advise management. Assist with various other legal matters at the direction of the General Counsel. This position is for local candidates only.
