Location: Stamford, CT 06901Your location:home   »  find a job   »  advanced search   »  job description Apply Online Send this Job to a Friend Established alternative investment management firm with over $7 billion in assets seeks a Compliance Paralegal for their headquarters. Position DescriptionPosition reports to the Compliance Officer and focus on a variety of areas, including, but not limited to the following: Ensure that the company remains in compliance with rules and regulations set forth by the various regulatory agencies here and overseas. Assist the company and its subsidiaries with adherence to internal policies and procedures. Assist with the Firm’s compliance monitoring program overall including writing, reviewing, and testing compliance policies and procedures. Perform relevant functions and various forensic tests as set forth in the Firm’s proprietary compliance monitoring database. Take minutes of Compliance Committee meetings. Assist in the rollout of the personal trading and code of ethics application to employees.  Monitor employee personal trading including review of brokerage statements and pre-clearance of personal trading transactions. Assist in the firm’s preparation for and response to routine regulatory inquiries. Generate and maintain various required records.Candidate DescriptionQualified candidates should have an undergraduate degree with a minimum of 2 years experience in Compliance in the investment adviser and/or hedge fund space.  Knowledge of the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 and the Investment Company Act of 1940 is beneficial.  Applicants should have strong attention to detail, excellent writing skills, be able to work independently and grasp concepts quickly.  The function requires the ability to meet deadlines and the capacity to manage multiple tasks at the same time with minimal supervision.  Flexibility in work hours is a must. Candidate must have outstanding analytical skills coupled with strong organizational and communication skills.  Applicants should be pro-active, motivated, passionate, and work well in a team environment.  Salary commensurate with experience.  Qualified candidates should email maureen.brady@hudson.com   About Hudson Hudson delivers specialized professional recruitment, contract staffing, outsourced and project solutions worldwide.
