Business Analyst

Thompson Coburn LLP currently has a position available for a full time Business Analyst/Project Coordinator to work in our St. Louis office.  This position is responsible for leading, coordinating and expediting Business Office projects and enhancement efforts. 

 

Responsibilities include

 

· Define, elicit, and document project requirements, objectives, and deliverables.

· Lead cross-functional Business Office projects and business process improvements, including automated workflow endeavors.

· Maintain a thorough understanding of the application and business processes including accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, budgeting, client intake, collections, conflicts, electronic billing, general ledger, rates, recording keeping and time recording.

· Provide ad-hoc reporting, data extracts and data analysis as needed by the Business Office.

· Serve as the primary point of contact for Business Office application-related questions, issues and some training.

· Serve as project leader for recurring software updates to Business Office applications.

· Participate in application user groups and community forums.

 

Job Requirements

 

· Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required, MBA or CPA preferred.

· Three years experience with financial systems

· Strong skills in Excel and Access

· SQL Knowledge preferred
