The company provides customers access to 5 billion searchable documents from more than 35,000 legal, news and business sources.Responsibilities This field sales new business role exists to grow revenue through the sale of LexisNexis products to non-subscribers in the corporate and public markets and must meet or exceed objectives in the areas of incremental sales revenue, customer satisfaction and market penetration.Qualifications 1. Bachelors degree or equivalent experience 2. 10 or more years of direct sales experience selling software based solutions 3. Prior sales experience in the legal industry especially working with corporate legal department. 4. Excellent presentation and demonstration skills with the ability to lead business product discussions regarding the value of legal spend management solutions 5. Excellent ability to develop strong interpersonal relationships with key potential customers 6. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with C level executives and their direct reports 7. Must be a team player within the sales force as well as with resources outside the department 8. Good working knowledge of key business drivers impacting C level decision makers 9. Ability to maintain long sales cycles lasting from 3 months to 1 year or more 10. Understanding and expertise in computer hardware and software including Windows XP, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Contact Management systems, Sales Force Automation Tools, CRM (Siebel 7.8) and the internet. Proven knowledge and experience using strategic selling (Miller Heiman) 11. Experience working in a highly complex matrixed corporate environment 12. Proven knowledge and understanding of value selling and team selling concepts 13. Strong oral and written communication skills and presentation skills 14. Strong time management, organizational and forecasting skills 15.
