The ideal eCommerce Web Developer would possess 2-4 years experience in web development. This candidate will be responsible for maintaining and improving the usability and functionality of our eCommerce websites, including our international websites.  This is a great opportunity for any talented Web Developer to showcase their skills and shine. The eCommerce Web Developer will have responsibilities including, but not limited to, the following: Extend and maintain our eCommerce websites utilizing PHP, JSP, HTML, CSS, XHTML, Javascript, Flash and ActionScript running on IBM Websphere Liaise with our creative, marketing and visual merchandising departments to create interactive server-side contests and promotions, using extensible PHP modules/classes Integrate MySQL databases into the development of web-based applications Contribute to Fossil's international eCommerce presence developing and launching websites in APAC and EMEA Provide technical guidance and recommendations for marketing, branding and eCommerce initiatives Work with other web developers to fully integrate content (such as Flash and video) within eCommerce websites Ensure web based content is fully operational across all browsers (i.e., IE, Firefox, Safari) and operating systems (i.e., Windows and MacOS) Collaborate with the eCommerce department, developing tools that would benefit the speed and efficiency of the department Recommend and implement functionality changes based on prior experiences and best practices
