Job Description: Visual Designer- Do you have 4+ years experience as a user-experience and graphic designer with a background in consumer-oriented Web 2.0 properties? If so... read on!We seek a user-experience and graphic designer with a background in consumer-oriented Web 2.0 properties. Deep awareness of brand and visual messaging and fluency in the visual language of social sites required. Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and a high level of user empathy is highly valued.We're looking for a designer to work with our product and business development teams. This person will work on the user interface of our main site and associated sites (ex. our Facebook applications), as well as developing conceptual designs for our business development and marketing teams What you need for this position:- Demonstrated strength in effectively working with external and internal clients on advertising and marketing projects. - 4+ years experience in a design-specific role with pertinent work to the job description. - Strong communication skills and able to present ideas effectively to internal and external groups. - Experience translating advertising and marketing objectives into effective visual concepts and executions. - Creative problem solving abilities that balance great user experience with partner objectives and feedback. - CSS and XHTML skills as well as thorough knowledge of web standards a plus (not required). - Experience with Flash a plus (not required) - Experience with Subversion, PHP, and Javascript a plus (not required) - Interactive agency or position in interactive creative department at a company a major plusWhat you will be doing:- Examples of projects: design and development of features on our main site, design and development of our Facebook applications, advertising and sponsorships, visual prototypes of our integrations into other sites, marketing efforts that appear on our and partner sites. - When pitching ideas to partners, we often require realistic comps that express ideas in a way the partner will understand. This designer must be able to take and translate feedback into further explorative concepts. - Projects will often result in static visual materials, but may also include print materials.
