Vice President, Sales – MySpace MusicMySpace Music is a newly created joint venture between MySpace.com and a host of the world’s largest music content partners. Music has been a primary bloodline of MySpace.com since its inception and remains its cornerstone entertainment channel today, allowing over 5 million artists big and small to establish direct relationships with fans and virally market their content. Already the most highly-trafficked music website with 30 million unique users, MySpace Music aims to leverage its existing audience and artist base and, in partnership with the major, indie, and unsigned artist communities, deliver a 360-degree music experience allowing users to enjoy the most robust repository of ad-supported audio and music video on the web as well as one-stop shopping for all music-related e-commerce. MySpace Music is headquartered alongside MySpace.com in Beverly Hills, CA.The VP of Sales for MySpace Music is an Executive Level Sales Manager responsible for creating the sales strategy and driving advertising revenue from direct customers and agencies. He/she has a deep-rooted passion for music and knowledge of the online music landscape. As a leader in the industry, the VP will set the strategy and vision for MySpace Music and ensure that the team reaches its objectives. Responsibilities• Develop sales strategy and drive revenue growth for the branded sales team• Establish and maintain significant relationships with CMO's and Senior Agency Directors• Package and negotiate sales efforts with MySpace Music’s largest advertisers• Hiring, training and mentoring both Senior Level Sales Management and Account Executives• Contribute strategically to the growth and direction of MySpace products and services through evangelizing our proposition to the advertising community• Oversee Branded Sales Management and collaborate with Operations and Marketing to ensure highest levels level of customer service and satisfactionQualifications• Strategic thinker, proven track record of driving significant revenue results in rapidly growing environment• Senior-Level Sales Management experience, leading large high-performing sales organizations• 10+ years in media sales, including 5+ years management experience• Recognized industry presence and significant Senior Level contacts in the media industry• Experience defining revenue models• Deep cross-functional knowledge and experience with all operations within sales• Demonstrated ability to create and executive on a long-term sales strategy• BA/BS required; MBA a plus
