Summary
This senior level position is responsible for the management of the pan inside sales staff, pan outside target sales team, the pan human capital consulting team, and leading the overall pan corporate client sales efforts.
 
The ideal candidate is someone who is a proven leader of people, can effectively manage a sales team, develop and implement plans to achieve sales goals, set sales strategies, and monitor results. The individual must be highly driven and results-oriented.  This position will also have the sole responsibility of building up alliances and partnerships.  Approximately 20% travel is required.
 
This position reports directly to the pan Chief Operating Officer.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
§ Manage the pan inside sales team
§ Serve in a consultative role to the pan outside target sales team
§ Manage the pan human capital consulting team
§ Serve as a pan liaison to TALX VPs of Sales
§ Strategize with outside target sales team to locate and maximize opportunities
§ Build up alliances and partnerships
§ Meet revenue and sales goals plans
§ Set sales strategies and monitor results
§ Lead the business development and tele-prospecting initiative
§ Involved in networking at trade shows or user meetings
§ Identify and develop new business opportunities and call on key decision makers of prospective corporate clients after a mutual interest has been established with the assistance of the business development representative or the corporate sales target team.
§ Work closely with the Product Management team to assure new business meets the goal of being good for the client and good for TALX 
 


Job Requirements:
§ Minimum 5 years experience in a Sales Management role
§ 5 years as a Sales Leader in a consultative selling position
§ Proven successful track record in sales management: achieving goals and business plans, developing sales teams, and solution selling
§ BA/BS - business degree and/or marketing degree
§ The desire to succeed
§ Exemplary communication, negotiation, and listening skills
§ Demonstrated in-depth sales techniques and business financial principles
 
Computer Skills Required
§ Proficient with Windows based and Microsoft applications
§ Ability to quickly grasp a deep knowledge of our solutions and the ability to demonstrate the solutions to prospects
 
Preferred Qualifications
§ Prior experience with Human Resources or Payroll systems
§ Knowledge of Excel, SalesLogix, ACT! or similar prospect management databases
