VP of Operations, Golf Division

***position can be located Nationwide or organization is open to relocation for right candidate 

 

A confidential software company is seeking a GM to run and lead its golf division. This person will lead the strategy, execution, and staff involved with the development, sales, and support of the current products and our next generation platform. Primary areas of oversight include creating and executing against the P&L, establishing and reporting against the key goals for all members of the management team, all major business metrics and drivers, growth initiatives and management of a cross-functional team in support or key projects. The GM will have responsibility for strategic planning, business initiatives, customer service, results tracking, community development, resource planning and implementation (people and tools).

 

Responsibilities:

•Provide direction for the Management Team and all personnel responsible for the areas of oversight outlined above

•Provide strategy and guidance for developing content, services, pricing and functionality

•Planning for the most efficient use of both internal and remote staff

•Prioritization of key projects and resources to meet business and product goals

•Identify key opportunities for partnerships to enhance product functionality and develop additional revenue streams

•Manage P&L to include budgeting, forecasting, and strategy

•Manage development of next generation platform

•Analyze usage and sales data to develop insight and recommendations for modifications to service, pricing, functionality, etc.

•Serve as the principal contact with internal and external parties for all issues related to the product

•Provide strategy to increase use of including development of key metrics to demonstrate increased usage and improving revenue

•Ensure accurate tracking and regular reporting of key statistics

•Provide regular management updates and insight into product issues and results

 

Requirements:

•5+ years experience developing and managing consumer online products in a high transaction environment

•Extensive knowledge of consumer interface issues and product development methodology

•Strong knowledge and understanding of general business, advertising and marketing principles with emphasis on P&L management

•Experience with a start up and/or an entrepreneurial spirit a huge plus

•Demonstrated strategic planning capabilities

•Experience with client-server software development or sales a plus

•Prior experience with new business development

•Strong management abilities

•Strong leader, willing to learn new skills and be able to work in a team environment

•Excellent oral and written communications skills

•Ability to lead both technical and non-technical discussions with both technicians and non-technical personnelEEO/AAP
