VP of Business Development, Marketing and Advertising Sales

Small DC based company that owns and operates 12 niche based online social networks seeks head of business development,  online marketing and advertising sales. As the chief of revenue and distribution for this small venture backed company, this executive will share in the opportunity to build an already fast growing concern.

 

 

Responsibilites

 

Sell sponsorships and work closely with advertisers and sponsors to customize their offerings

 

Create and execute sales plan

 

Set up distribution deals with online portals and other traffic generators

 

Develop prospecting database and consistently prospect for new partners

 

Track and analyze online traffic to develop strategic plan for growth

 

Opportunistically work with technical team to create online offerings that generate buzz and click through acitvities with targeted demographics

 

 

 

Requirements

 Online sales track recordMBA preferred but not requiredSubstantial experience with and understanding of the economics of distribution dealsWillingness to take on increased responsibility as needed in start up environmentKnowledge of or experience in online travel industry helpfulSophisticated and wide ranging portfolio of high level business contacts for rapid development of deals Working knowledge and experience with SEO tactics,  PPC campaigns, affiliate and banner deals, online lead generationExcellent presentation and writing skills-must be able to create sales documents without assistanceHigh energy self starter with keen intelligence and teamwork capabilities
