GSI Commerce trades on the Nasdaq Stock Exchange under the symbol, GSIC.Job Description:-Install, deploy, and upgrade servers to support the existing Windows based server infrastructure. - Design and implement upgrades, develop infrastructure, automate recurring tasks, and help ensure that technology is always an aid, not an obstacle. - Addresses and resolves problems in a timely and proactive manner. - Performs planning and execution of scheduled changes and maintenance. - Writes scripts to automate support processes for maximum efficiency. - Integrate new ideas and technology into our Corporate Network that will the increase productivity of all users. - Weekend and off-shift work required for systems upgrades and maintenance. - Remote management of large scale enterprise environments with multiple data center locations.- Serve as an escalation point for our Helpdesk team and participate in 24/7 on-call rotations. - Have prior work experience within a large Windows environment (1,000+users) - 3+ years of technical Windows Server (2000/2003) support experience - Experience working within complex technical environments - Advanced knowledge of Windows server clustering - Advanced knowledge of Windows Active Directory - Ability to manage projects of varying scope and scale- Basic experience with HP Openview, Compaq Insight Manager, and SiteScope- Competent with networking architectures and communications- Advanced knowledge of server system utilities and administration routines - Advanced experience with server administration tools - Strong communications and interpersonal skills - Experience with Workstation and Laptop hardware - Advanced knowledge of Antivirus, Spam Blocker, and Spyware enterprise level software.- Ability to cross-train other technical staff. - Working knowledge of enterprise NAS, SAN, and backup and archiving solutions. - Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. - BS Degree or equivalent experience. - Lifting and transporting of moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals.
