Sr. QA Automation Engineer (Selenium Required)

Sr. QA Automation Engineer (Selenium Required) The Sr. QA Automation Engineer will be responsible for developing automated test cases using HP's QuickTest Professional and contribute towards the enhancement of an existing automation framework. Additionally, the Sr. QA Automation Engineer will occasionally assist with manual regression testing and/or troubleshooting of issues reported by the users. Responsibilities (including but not limited to): · Develop and maintain automated test cases via HP's QuickTest Professional (QTP) on external and internal web-based applications.· Develop new scripts and framework using the Selenium Automation Tool. · Perform application level testing ensuring new and existing application functions work as designed. · Perform script reviews · Report issues/bugs encountered in a detailed and orderly manner. Routinely review bug tracking logs to identify patterns in software issues. · Generate test execution reports to management. · Define, create and document common functions that will be used by Regression and Functional automated test scripts. · Contribute to our existing Object Oriented Automation Framework evolving around QTP. · Ability to perform analysis on the list of tasks to automate and intelligently prioritize based on importance and criticality. · Identify, propose, and implement QA planning, quality metrics, and process improvements to increase defect prevention, component-development efficiency, and customer-perceived quality, while lowering costs. · Evaluate and improve approaches to testing strategies and script development. Requirements: · Minimum 5+ years in an Automation Software Quality Assurance experience is required. · Advanced experience on script development using QTP or other VB based automation tools is required. (Record and Playback experience will not be considered) · Advanced Experience with Selenium Automation Tool is required. (Record and Playback experience will not be considered) · Working knowledge on HP's Test Director / Quality Center is a plus. · Working knowledge of Agile Software Development practices a plus. · Extensive background in SQA methodologies and experience developing and executing comprehensive test suites. · Ability to represent the QA Automation team on daily stand-up meetings and project planning. · Experience and willingness to execute manual testing on an occasional basis is required. · Working knowledge of a standard defect lifecycle and a bug tracking system required.
