Sr. Product Manager

This individual will report to the Executive Director of Product Management for Edmunds.com Product Development and will play an important role in continuing innovation of the leading automotive website, Edmunds.com. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a solid understanding of product management principles and previous success in managing product initiatives thru to completion with positive results. Responsibilities (including but not limited to):   Crafting business proposals and P&L documents to support product strategy. Researching new product ideas. Writing business requirements and Agile stories describing product functionality to include detailed use cases and task flows as well as non-functional requirements (e.g. usability, performance, documentation). Managing a cross-functional team to deliver the product or feature on time and at or above expected business goals in conjunction with a Technical Project Manager. Working to ensure that technical design and implementation meets business needs and requirements. Communicating product status and working to remove blocking issues.  Requirements:   5+ years experience conceptualizing and executing consumer-focused web sites, products and applications with demonstrable record of success. Proven leadership abilities to deliver projects on time in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple, high-priority projects with keen attention to detail in cross-functional team environments. Superior communication skills with the ability to build relationships and collaborate with a variety of personalities. Ability to execute all aspects of the new product development process with an emphasis on execution and driving successful implementations. Successful experience putting consumer analytics and user testing to practical use for product improvement. Proven track record leveraging content-rich databases to deliver superior consumer applications; online product experience with a comparison shopping or eCommerce site a plus.
