Description:ResponsibilitiesThe Solution Architect has two primary areas of responsibility: sales and marketing, and delivery. Sales and Marketing* Provide technical sales services starting at awareness generation stage all the way through to proposal and closing of the sale.* Work closely with sales account teams to assist in the development of account plans and qualification of opportunities.* Responsible for describing the solution, defining the approach and estimating the work effort in client proposals. * Assist in the management of strategic alliances to position Epsilon as a leading service provider.* Assist in the creation, collection and stewardship of intellectual assets to support sales.* Offer and service definitions * Client references * Case studies * Pertinent alliance materials * Competitive research and advice Delivery * Provide thought leadership to key clients * Provide project advisory services on strategic projects* Provide quality assurance services on delivery projects to ensure that the quality of delivered solutions reflects what was proposed.* Ensure that intellectual assets created during the delivery process are collected, evolved and captured in the knowledge base in a manner that is reusable and relevant. * Delivery models and process models * Sample project plans * Sample deliverables * Estimating and cost models* Provide guidance in effective resource allocation to projects.* Conduct technical interviews in conjunction with Resource Management.* Provide training / coaching to other Architects to ensure consistent delivery of solutions and quality.Qualifications:Required Skills/Background: * Consulting experience with a diverse and successful assignment history including, experience completing large scale multi-application integration projects both at the application and enterprise infrastructure level.* A proven track record for the timely delivery of high quality project deliverables.* Understands and is able to apply systems development life cycle principles, concepts and techniques on projects.* Strong application development skills with architectural design on multiple platforms.* Strong ability to assist projects in overcoming technical issues/problems which are impeding progress.* Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills with strength in describing technical issues to others less well versed in technology.* Presentation and facilitation experience* Proven excellent analytical ability* Works proactively and is a team player* Highly motivated, Results-oriented* Highly presentable and professional* Attention to detail * Flexibility to adapt to travel, client and project teams* Bachelor or Masters degree in computer science or related subject* 5 years experience in the role of Architect specializing in architectures covering domains such as:- eCRM- Database and Data Management Systems- Business Intelligence- Web-based client-server systems- Messaging and Service Oriented ArchitecturesSalary/Benefits: Salary commensurate with experienceAlliance Data offers a competitive salary, a comprehensive selection of benefit options including 401(k).Job Location: Wakefield, MAJob Number: 3324Company URL: http://www.epsilon.comCompany Profile:About UsEpsilon - including its Abacus division - is a 21st Century Marketing Services Company that uses consumer and business data together with proven techniques to maximize marketing power for clients worldwide.
