Job Summary:
The Software Engineer develops software products defined by the product development team. The Software Engineer is responsible for all phases of the software development cycle, including design, programming, testing (unit and system level), debugging, and internal documentation. The Software Engineer will also act as a subject matter expert for existing and new software products and provide technical support to other engineers and customer support personnel. The Software Engineer reports to the Software Engineer Manager or Senior Software Engineer.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
* Develop new features and enhancements in response to requirements provided by the product team.
* Troubleshoot and correct software bugs.
* Conduct component-level, system end-to-end, regression and quality assurance software testing.
* Provide internal technical support to development team and customer technical support organization.
* Create and maintain internal system documentation for software and system products.
* Design and develop new software products.

Required Education and Experience:
* BS degree in Computer Science or related field of study or 3-5 years equivalent work experience
* 3-5 years Perl/Mod Perl, software development experience
* 3-5 years hands-on Linux or Unix knowledge including Apache web server.
* 3-5 years Oracle/MySQL or other database technology
