Help us create the next generation of Shutterfly’s web application that enables users to share, preserve and create fantastic products out of their digital images.

ResponsibilitiesBuild infrastructure-level framework to support core Shutterfly features and initiatives Collaborate with Internet Operations, QA, release engineering, platform and application engineers in regular product release cycle Integrate Shutterfly platform with 3rd party systems

Key Skills and Experience:Strong skills in object-oriented API design Strong experience in server-side application development with Java. Proficient in SQL and relational database design and schema Strong understanding of system-level operations and devices (JVM garbage collection, OS/java memory management, etc) Good understanding of network protocols (HTTP, SOAP, XML RPC, etc) Experience with XML-based technologies including XSLT and XSDs Experience with highly multi-threaded and data-intensive distributed environments Desire and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growing, dynamic environment BS/MS in Computer Science highly desirable
