Senior Software Engineer, ERP (SOA)
The Role:
The Sr. Software Engineer, ERP will be working with a talented group of engineers in the Netflix IT Applications department. The IT Applications department is responsible for supporting Customer billing, Finance, Marketing, Purchasing and Receiving departments. We act as an interface between Web Engineering, CRM and Logistics teams. We use Oracle E business suite 11i (GL/AP/AR/PO/INV) for core financials, and have built extensions to it, in a loosely coupled and highly scalable architecture for customer billing, purchasing and receiving.
Responsible for designing services architecture on top of Oracle E Business suite that other teams can leverage. Perform POCs in determining the architectural direction for the Oracle Financials suite. Develop applications using Oracle applications OA frame work, XML publisher & PL/SQL.
Design & develop Java/Oracle based web services to Oracle E Business suite 11.5.10, Credit Card processing & Tax calculation, creation of project plan estimates, and production of detailed design documentation. Responsibilities include but not limited to creating a strategy to enhance the existing system with scalability and simplicity in mind. Development environment requires adherence to engineering QA practices including configuration management, source control, unit testing, integration testing, and documentation of code.
Experience & Competencies:
Required:
• 8 or more years as a Software Engineer of which at least 5+ years spent developing applications for Oracle EBusiness suite 11.5.10+
• One or more years of developing applications using Oracle OAF framework and Oracle ADF framework
• 5+ years of Java development experience with specific exposure to building web services
• SOA/BPEL technical development experience
• Inbound and Outbound standard integration patterns and framework development.
• Oracle EBS / BEA EBS
• Provide reliable, reusable services for Oracle PO, inventory, & AP.
• Integrate home grown applications to oracle ERP with SOA.
• High proficiency with SQL & PL/SQL, tuning applications
• Strong object oriented programming skills (Java and/or C++)
• Enjoys technical challenges and constantly strives to improve existing systems
• Knowledge of Oracle Account Receivables, Cash Management, Procure2Pay, Inventory, Fixed assets, Oracle GL is a definite plus
• Excellent written and verbal communications.
Nice To Have:
• Oracle fusion middleware, Oracle EBusiness adapters and BPEL, EDI and E-business gateway.
• XML publisher, Brio/Hyperion, Oracle BI
• Struts, Eclipse, SWT, ANT, Hibernate, Spring
• Java/J2EE application development associated with Oracle SOA / BPEL and ADF.
• Apache, LDAP, B2B, Portal, ESB and EAI
• Oracle application server 10g would be a plus.
Education:
A Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or equivalent engineering.
