Senior Sales Consultant
ProPay Senior Sales Consultant
Responsible for promoting ProPay products (www.propay.com) and providing account services as a professional Sr. Sales Consultant to all assigned existing and prospective accounts. Utilizes sales and marketing techniques to develop and maintain productive working relationships with current and prospective customers. Conducts sales calls to seek the placement of product in high volume areas. Ensures that customers are well satisfied with products and services. Makes recommendations to management regarding product development, pricing, and sales projections.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
1. Assumes responsibility for the effective performance of area sales and marketing functions.
a. Makes phone sales presentations to generate qualified prospective customers as requested.
b. Prospects for new accounts and seeks opportunities to increase existing ones. Conducts regular sales calls to develop customer relationships and follow up on leads.
c. Tracks sales deals through closing and finalizes sales contracts.
d. Ensures sales accounts assigned to the team are well serviced in accordance with ProPay standards and policies.
e. Meets established weekly activity quotas and sales goals.
2. Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining good business relations with customers and external trade contacts.
a. Ensures that customers are satisfied with ProPay products and services and well supported through phone contact.
b. Obtains customer feedback and continually works to improve products and services.
c. Resolves customer requests, complaints, and problems.
d. Promotes goodwill and conveys a positive image of the ProPay.
3. Assumes responsibility for maintaining effective working relations, communication, and coordination with ProPay personnel and with management.
a. Sets sales goals in accordance with ProPay objectives. Tracks progress toward goals.
b. Provides assistance to area personnel as needed.
c. Keeps management informed of area activities, changes in competitive conditions, and significant problems.
d. Completes required reports and records accurately and promptly.
e. Attends meetings as required.
4. Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.
a. Completes special projects.
b. Provides backup for other sales positions as needed.
c. Ensures that work area is clean, secure, and well maintained.
PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS
1. Existing accounts are maintained or expanded through professional sales activities.
2. New accounts are developed through effective sales and marketing.
3. Sales and profit goals are met or exceeded.
4. Accounts are well supported in accordance with established ProPay policies and procedures.
5. Good working relationships exist with customers.
6. Management is appropriately informed of significant problems, area activities, and competitive conditions.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certification: College degree preferred or equivalent experience
Required Knowledge: Good knowledge of ProPay products and services.
Understanding of product positioning and competitive conditions.
Knowledge of inside sales strategies and techniques.
Experience Required: 5 + years professional sales experience is a must
Skills/Abilities: Strong interpersonal and public relations skills.
Excellent sales abilities.
Well organized.
Problem solving abilities.
Able to use computer tracking system.
