The EMC Consulting Experience Design competency applies a user-centric approach to solution evaluation, design and development. The experienced team uses a collection of highly focused methods to help increase the efficiency, effectiveness, satisfaction and ease of learning for users of a particular application. The approach incorporates user feedback in all phases of implementation including strategy, requirements engineering, design and development.
The Experience Design team ensures that systems are intuitive in design, and produce measurable improvements in workflow and productivity. We support our clients not only by developing successful systems with satisfied users, but also by reducing scope changes and re-work by providing the right solutions the first time.
Responsibilities
The Senior Information Architect will plan user experience activities throughout the project lifecycle, creating user scenarios, process flows, use cases, site maps, wire frames and functional specifications. Combine strategic business acumen with strong knowledge of user-centered design to conceptualize and develop customized web interface solutions. Articulate findings and recommendations to team members and clients. Perform expert usability inspections. Participate in business development activities including proposal development and concept demonstrations.
Requirements
*Information Architecture – Minimum 8 years experience with Information Architecture including familiarity with the most recent usability and IA research. Demonstrated experience creating information architectures for business applications and large-scale portals
*Industry – Knowledge of pharmaceutical a plus
*Technology – Proficiency with Microsoft Visio, Powerpoint, Adobe Photoshop, and Macromedia Dreamweaver
*Communications – Strong interpersonal, presentation, written communication, facilitation and self direction skills
