As we continue to grow, so do our staffing needs.  Warwick is seeking a Data Architect III.  This position is responsible for Enterprise Data Architecture including, but not limited to, enterprise metadata management, enterprise application integration, data security, integrity and quality, data modeling review/approval and development of enterprise data strategies.  Must be able to understand the interrelationships between applications, hardware, networks, business process, technology, and data. Support of business strategies and initiatives via strong communication skills, interviewing key business partner, and complete, accurate, and consistent reporting.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

-  Work with technology solutions team in the development and maintenance of the organization’s end to end information architecture by creating data architecture strategies and developing the associated roadmaps and high level plans

-  Design, develop, and coordinate Enterprise Metadata Strategy, including repository implementation and maintenance.

-  Formulate the standards, processes and procedures to align with the data architecture for major application projects

-  Leading the creation and evolution of the strategy and direction for data warehousing, business intelligence and analytics for the enterprise

-  Review the data and technology architecture design of key application projects to ensure alignment with the enterprise standards and target architecture/roadmap

-  Support various project teams in data analysis, data modeling and data architecture related topics and provides guidance and mentoring to IT development staff in data related areas

-  Understand the needs of business units and assist in the development of technology roadmaps with an emphasis on data

-  Overseeing the creation and evolution of architecture deliverables, including services, frameworks, templates, taxonomies, tools, standards, guidelines and best practices that support the delivery of I/T solutions

-  Contribute to technical studies to develop new technology strategies and architectural standards and methodologies

-  Remain current on leading trends in designated architecture areas and IT in general

 

 

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

-  Expert knowledge and experience with all aspects of enterprise data architecture, database design, and data warehousing

-  Expert knowledge and experience with designing and delivering solutions that factor in system performance, usability, quality, cross-system interdependencies, scalability and overall cost to develop and maintain

-  Knowledge and experience with multiple relational databases (e.g. MySQL, DB2, Oracle and  SQL Server)

-  Knowledge and experience with multiple operating systems (e.g. Linux, AIX, Solaris, Window Server, UNIX)

-  Knowledge and experience with business intelligence tools preferably Cognos.  Experience building in-house WYSIWYG applications a plus

-  Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

-  Excellent written and verbal communication skills

-  Excellent planning and organizational skills

-  Must be able to balance the long-term and short term implications of individual decisions and drive short-term actions that are consistent with long term goals

-  Must be able to work under minimal supervision

-  High degree of self-motivation and integrity

 

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

BS degree in Computer Sciences/Engineering with a concentration in MIS with at least 10-12 yrs hands on experience in similar industry.  MS degree in Computer Sciences/Engineering with a concentration in MIS with at least 8-10 years hands on experience in similar industry.
