Senior Architect

This is a highly visible Sr. position in a fast paced, technically advanced infrastructure organization in Financial Services.

The candidate must know Clustering, High Availability, prevalent Operating Systems, experience with designing an infrastructure solution and working with Application Development Teams.

Broad overall as well as hands on experience in the following areas; (this is not an all inclusive list)

* Extensive Architecture design experience
* Extensive exposure and understanding of hardware _/* (SUN Hardware knowledge is preferable) *
* Exposure to Various OS's ( Unix, Linux and Windows)
* Extensive capacity planning experience
* Extensive exposure to various technologies
* Knowledge of clustering technologies
* Knowledge of SAN technologies
* Extensive knowledge and design experience in High Availability of Servers
* Experience with gathering requirements from Application Development Groups
* Experience with designing an infrastructure solution

*Tasks:

--#1 task is for the candidate to assist your team regarding products & solutions to Client requirements - very important for candidate to have the ability to meet with senior and low level Application Development team members, get their requirements and then architect/recommend a solution 'on the spot,' or quick turn around, based on Client certified products.

- Clustering

- Virtualization
- Networking /DMZ
- Database
- Storage/replication -capacity mgmt. and analysis
- Overall knowledge of IT Roadmap/Trends & Directions
- Experience in software development (coding)
- Experience across a wide range of infrastructure technology, with focus on CPU/threading architectures
- Experience in technical and non-technical project and program management (matrix organization)
- Exposure to investment banking is a huge plus
