POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Global Sales Operations is responsible for helping to drive Sales productivity in all Blackboard lines of business by providing exceptional resources and programs to the Sales organizations.  This includes sales training and development, execution of three annual company wide events, providing sales force automation technology and other tools used by the sales teams, assisting sales with any projects or initiatives as necessary, providing actionable metrics to sales and corporate management, and development of RFP responses.

The Sales Analyst will play an integral role in the success of the group.  Specifically s/he will be responsible for:Developing and delivering monthly, quarterly, and annual Sales metrics, dashboards, and analysis to Sales leadership and Corporate leadershipWorking  with Sales Executives to develop and deliver Sales forecastsWorking with other departments, particularly Finance and IT to leverage data in various corporate systemsWorking with Sales Operations staff to measure effectiveness of programsWorking directly on key sales productivity initiatives to ensure programs are supplied with the necessary data on which to make strategic decisions.Assisting Sales Management with ad-hoc or routine metrics, and reportingAssisting  with the development of the Global Sales Operations budget

 Required Experience



PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED SKILLS: Bachelor’s degree required.Minimum 2 years experience supporting a Sales organization (developing/delivering metrics, dashboards, analysis and forecasts) required. Strong Excel, PowerPoint and Access skills, with particular focus on the use of advanced features of spreadsheets. Ability to create advanced pivot tables required.Highly organized and ability to work on multiple projects at once.High level of analytical ability and accuracy. Ability to work independently and complete tasks with minimal supervision.Excellent interpersonal and organization skills required.Flexibility and ability to work in a fast paced environment a must.Strong business acumen a must.


PREFERRED SKILLS: Salesforce.com experience highly preferred.PeopleSoft experience highly preferred.Ability to develop/run queries and merge data from different databases into Excel highly preferred.
