This role will be responsible for focusing on new business for interactive advertising sales on the Smarter Travel Media network of travel products – www.smartertravel.com and www.bookingbuddy.com The ideal candidate has a proven track record in online media sales and will excel at working in the alternative media space. The candidate has successfully closed significant media deals with large media planning & buying agencies, and past clients have included campaigns for major travel brands. The candidate will be able to leverage a rolodex of contacts in the advertising agency community. Responsibilities include client prospecting, rapidly building a sales pipeline, and meeting a quarterly sales target across defined advertiser categories (e.g. airlines, hotels, online travel agencies, car rental). Candidate will be required to deliver client presentations to both agencies and advertisers, develop proposals, negotiate contracts, and ensure successful launch of campaigns. Job Qualifications:?We are looking for a smart, responsible, and motivated self-starter with superb attention to detail. Familiar with the Internet, HTML, Excel, and online travel is preferred. Looking for candidate with at least 5 years of online media sales experience. Past relationships with decision-makers at major media planning & buying agencies. Proven track record of success in meeting quarterly sales targets. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Strong time management and organizational skills. Advertising agency background and experience preferred. Travel Industry background and experienced preferred Primary duties include: ?Proactively prospect, qualify, and grow a national advertiser account list?Client prospecting & cold-calling, successful client presentations, proposal development, contract negotiation & execution?Build effective working relationship with Product Marketing team?Develop and cultivate long-term relationships with senior client personnel?Engage and strategize with senior level executives at client companies and agencies to demonstrate how Smarter Travel Media. can deliver value to consumer brands?Identify and understand trends within client markets and industries?Meet quarterly sales targets?Attend and participate in trade show events?Expected travel of 30%.Additional Information:Travel Percentage: 30%
